How to pin a message in a Telegram channel?

Launch the Telegram app and follow the steps to pin a message on Telegram channel.

Open the channel where you want to pin the message.
Tap on the message you want to pin.
A menu will appear. Tap on the Pin option.
Then on the confirmation box, tap on OK.
You will get a notification of pinned message on the top of your chat and a message in your chat.

Only administrators can pin or unpin a message in a Telegram channel.

How to unpin a message in a Telegram channel?

Unpinning a message is easy and you have to follow similar steps as pinning a message.

Tap on the message you have pinned and want to unpin.
Then on the menu tap on the Unpin option.
Then on the confirmation prompt, tap on Unpin.

Alternative method to unpin a message on a Telegram channel

Tap on the cross button located on the right side of the notification bar at the top of the chat window.
On the confirmation box tap on Unpin.

How to pin a message in a Telegram group?

Pinning a message in a Telegram group is not much different than pinning in a Telegram channel, the difference is that you have more freedom in a group and everyone has equal permissions; as in, all members can pin and unpin messages on the group chat freely.

Tap on the message you want to pin.
Then on the menu, tap on the Pin option.
Then in the confirmation box tap on Ok and you can also select that whether you want to notify all members — by checking the box — or not.
Then you will get a notification of your pinned message on the top of the chat window alongside a message in the chat.

How to unpin a message in a Telegram group?

Steps to unpin a message in a Telegram group are same as unpinning a message in a Telegram channel the only difference is that in a Telegram channel only administrators can pin and unpin a message and in a Telegram group all members can pin and unpin a message. To unpin a message in the Telegram group follow the same guide of unpinning a message in a Telegram channel above.
