Twitter recently announced the automated captions for the voice tweet feature. The voice tweet feature allows users to tweet using their voice record was released last year.

As a result, Twitter introduced automated captions for voice tweets. This will help listeners to be able to read whatever is being said in the voice tweet. However, only a few languages are supported at the moment.

About Captions for Voice Tweets

Twitter voice tweets are audio tweets recorded that a listener can play. If you post a voice tweet, your current profile photo will be added as a static image to it.

To listen to a voice tweet, you only need to tap on play. This will automatically minimize as an audio dock at the bottom of the screen. This will allow listeners to keep scrolling through the app even while listening to a voice tweet.

The voice tweets feature is only available on iOS at the moment. Android and PC users can not see or use the feature yet, but they can as well listen.

Captions are automatically generated for voice tweets in a few supported languages. Languages that are supported at the moment include English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, French, Indonesian, Korean, and Italian.

How to Use Automated Captions for Twitter Voice Tweets

Locate a voice tweet for which you would like to enable captions and tap the voice tweet thumbnail to start and stop playback.

Captions are generated and displayed automatically for recorded voice tweets. You can also see captions on the web by clicking the CC button from the right-hand corner of the voice tweet window.
