You can play sound on multiple apps at once on your PC, which is great if you are multitasking. On the other hand, smartphones only have one audio stream for media and that could be a problem if you want to play sound on two apps at once for some reason.

Say, if you’re watching some video, playing a game, or listening to music and receive a voice message or video message, then you will have to shut one app, in order to listen to audio from another. Just like for so many other things, there is an app for that too. But you need a Samsung smartphone running OneUI 1.5 or later for that..tdi_4.td-a-rec{text-align:center}.tdi_4 .td-element-style{z-index:-1}.tdi_4.td-a-rec-img{text-align:left}.tdi_4.td-a-rec-img img{margin:0 auto 0 0}@media(max-width:767px){.tdi_4.td-a-rec-img{text-align:center}}

Play Sound on Two Apps At Once on Samsung Phone

Samsung created an app for its Galaxy Store that works as an extension of your phone’s audio settings. Dubbed as SoundAssistant, the app can make multi-app sound possible on your phone, apart from several other audio-related features.

You can download the app from the following link on your Samsung device. Alternatively, you can go to the Galaxy Store app on your phone and search for SoundAssistant.

Steps to Play Sound on Two Apps At Once

1] Download and Install the SoundAssistant app and open it.

Download SoundAssistant

2] Now inside the app, scroll down a bit on the main menu to find “MultiSound”, and tap the text instead of the toggle next to it.

3] Here, you will see a couple of options:

i) First, you can select a single app from the list to allow you to play sound in the background while another app is already playing audio.

ii) Another option is, you can select “All apps” to turn on multi-stream audio.

4] Select your apps and you’re good to go.

The first option is better if you just want to play songs while you’re doing other stuff that also involves sound. However, the second option is more flexible as it will enable the feature to work with any of the apps.
