WhatsApp has now released a new feature for iPhone users that they can now import their chat history from an Android phone. Earlier, the company has already announced the iPhone to Android WhatsApp chat migration feature for some Samsung and Pixel smartphones. But for new iPhone users, it was not possible to migrate chat unless they use a third-party tool or email the entire chats. Import WhatsApp Chats from Android to iPhone
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp iOS beta v22.2.74 has been rolled out quietly and it has reference of this feature that will let you import chat history from an Android phone to an iPhone..tdi_4.td-a-rec{text-align:center}.tdi_4 .td-element-style{z-index:-1}.tdi_4.td-a-rec-img{text-align:left}.tdi_4.td-a-rec-img img{margin:0 auto 0 0}@media(max-width:767px){.tdi_4.td-a-rec-img{text-align:center}}
Requirements
To transfer chats from Android to iPhone, you will need to physically connect an Android phone with an iPhone via a USB Type-C-to-Lightning cable. It will also require Apple’s “Move to iOS” app installed on the Android device.
Steps to Move Chats
Here’s how you can move your WhatsApp chats from Android to iPhone:
1. Download and install the Move to iOS app on your phone.
2. Now open it, give location permission and then start setting it up.
3. On the other hand, when you set up your new iPhone, select the copy from Android option.
4. You will get a six-digit code which you can enter in the Move to iOS app when asked.
5. Once your iPhone and Android are connected, you can start the migration from your iPhone.
6. Download and install WhatsApp on your iPhone, enter your number and tap restore.
7. Now on the import chats page, tap on Start, and your chat migration will start.
This is how your WhatsApp chat will be transferred to iPhone from Android. The new feature is not available for all beta testers but it will soon be rolled out for testing. However, it will take some time to be available for all WhatsApp users.
